Thanksgiving green and scented crafts

Thanksgiving is supposed to be a holiday for giving thanks and spending time with family and friends. Canadian thanksgiving day in 2010 is Monday, October 11th. This small vacation from the work is time for happiness - enjoy movies and cartoons, walking on the beach, sleeping late, and trying new recipes for thanksgiving meal.

This is not a tradition in my family, but I like to share what are most thankful for last year when everyone is gathered around the beautifully decorated table for Thanksgiving dinner. For the 2010 Thanksgiving table centerpiece  we made beautiful and unconventional green and scented Thanksgiving crafts.

We bought a couple of giant shells, decorative sand blue and white from Michael's store. We planted young  scented pelargoniums "Atomic Snowflake" in a special soil composition with peat moss, organic soil and moist grey clay (to stick to the shell). Afted this we added small grey volcanic rocks that might sustain plants in shells-saikei, then we decorated them with light blue and white tones with decorative sand. I'll keep one saikei for our Thanksgiving dinner and I'll share couple of them with our friends.

I love to take pictures and with high quality photographs I like to do 3D object movies.
Click & drag to interact with the next 3D object movie.
If zoomed in, you can hold the SHIFT key to move the image with the mouse.

With these crafts I'll share what I'm most thankful for this year: I started the year dancing "On the beautiful Blue Danube" Waltz in the arms of my love, we started our scented blog where have shared some scented ideas and we enjoyed the natural beauty of Vancouver, being invigorating by the mystical powers of the blue Pacific Ocean.
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

  6. I've never seen 3-D images like that. Very cool! What am I thankful for? I'd have to say the past year and all we've been able to do on our place. I love the work and am thankful for the results. I need to focus on that more than on all the things that have yet to be accomplished.
