Fishing in Stanley Park

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather by going alongside the north-side of the Stanley Park, this urban masterpiece of landscape for outdoor sports lovers.

Along the seawall, I knew there'd be a popular angling location for all the line between English Bay and Burrard Inlet, particularly around the Siwash Rock and close to The Girl in a Wet Suit statue. The water is sufficiently deep there to allow the possibility of landing a salmon, especially now, at the end of the summer, when is said that a run of pinks returns to Burrard Inlet.
The Girl in a Wet Suit statue, which resembling Hans Christian Andersen's Little Mermaid in Copenhagen, seems to taught us that if he is patient, may hook the “big one” fish, even he was not leaving the dock.

"The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of that which is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope" proverb

For the pure enjoyment of fishing, all wild animals and birds don't need a license, but for the people appropriate fishing licenses are required for fresh and saltwater fishing. Both types can be purchased online or at sporting and fishing retailers as well as the Government of BC's fishing website.

I remembered that two years ago I had a trip and  the absolute best part was to going out on the incredible scenery, siting in a quaint atmosphere, together with my family and  fishing side by side. I miss the fishing adventures... maybe I will thinking more about Vancouver's fishing opportunities for my weekends...

  1. Companies often do team buildings not just to develop camaraderie among employees but to also allow workers to unwind on a different place doing other things where they can exert more energy and feel healthier. outsidebuzz You are extremely prone to the harsh weather conditions especially when you go on some outdoor activity like fishing.

  2. I agree with you. If I were venturing out in the cold for example, I'm not wearing cotton. This shirt would be more of a work horse - chopping wood, an afternoon bird hunting, or a day at work. go footwears
